WELCOME TO MY WORLD – THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO VISIT.My name is Steve Deeks, I am a ‘Live’ Show Presenter, Race Driver, Superlicence Race Instructor, Automotive Trainer, Keynote Speaker, Broadcaster, Voice Artist and Event Co-ordinator.
I author and present my own cutting-edge communication and media skills training workshop, ‘Present to Win’, coaching everybody through CEO’s to Championship athletes in the art and technicalities of public speaking, media and delivering impactful presentations.
Throughout 2017 I have continued my winning ways on both National and International stage. Celebrating fully twenty-five years at the forefront of the global events industry, 2016 had been my most exciting year to date, 2017 has taken the programme to a whole new level - and spotlights my return to the racetrack, in 2018 I am heading ‘offshore’ to present some iconic new events for International clients. Afterburners on…
In my role as a ‘Live’ Presenter, in 2014, I presented The British Formula One Grand Prix, The MOTO GP, The Goodwood Festival of Speed, The Silverstone Classic, The BTCC, The BSB, World Endurance, The BMW National Festival together with the UK launches of a brace of exciting new cars; Mercedes C-Class, Ford Focus, Audi S1, Lexus NX, Lotus Exige LF1.
2015 highlights included presenting Silverstone’s World Endurance Championship, Goodwood’s Festival of Speed, Formula One, The Silverstone Classic and, for the first time, but certainly not the last, The iconic Le Mans 24 Hour. Personal favorites included a major keynote for 'The Home Retail Group’ and anchoring ‘An Evening with, (BTCC Champion), Matt Neal’, Great fun. New cars launched included Lexus RX and Mazda’s World Car of the Year, the MX-5 Mk4
2016 was all about the launch of ‘GT Sport’ at the ‘Copperbox’, taking racing right into the heart of London City, 'Unlearn Ford’ at Silverstone’s WEC, ‘Automechanika’ at the NEC, ‘Blancpain’ at Silverstone, Boxberg Germany for the launch of the 2017 Nissan GTR, back to Silverstone for the track debut of Yamaha’s iconic new R1M Superbike, London, ‘anchoring' The Black Book Motorsport Forum - and my season finale - 800 feet up in the Shard delivering Porsche UK ‘Future Insight’. Iconic new cars launched included the Focus RS and the 5.0 V8 Mustang. 2017 has been my busiest – and most exciting - year to date. Highlights included hosting the Driver’s Lounge at the 2017 British Grand Prix with Jake Humphrey, the Goodwood Revival for JD Classics, the Barbados Festival of Speed with Jensen Button and launching a brace of fantastic new models for Lexus, Nissan, Mazda and Hyundai. Barbados has been a second home in 2017; I’m currently fully engaged developing a defensive driving programme for the Caribbean’s leading insurance company, in a relentless quest to reduce the region’s spiralling road accident statistics.
My ‘Present to Win’ graduates continue to excel themselves on the World stage – plus I even found time to qualify for my ‘fixed-wing’ pilot’s license, adding this to my multi-type helicopter rating. The icing on the cake, however, has been signing a deal to race a Classic Porsche 911SC in 2018. The 38-year-old thoroughbred machine has been painstakingly restored for my return to racing after fully 15 years out of the cockpit. The whole televised adventure is being documented on a discrete You Tube channel, and blogged exhaustively. We have an excellent group of partners involved with our programme, and, what’s more, I have joined Championship-winning kart equipe ‘ProTrain’s test team to refresh my skills. As ever, what really excites me, is that, to paraphrase my great musical hero Joe Strummer, 'the future is unwritten’. It really is. Get in touch, get on board, join the race team partners - most of all, TELL ME what I can do to add power to your business or racing plans going forward. Events, shows, racing, coaching, training – I’m all about empowerment. Passion. And quality.
Steve Deeks, 2017.
